Defect: Arcimoto Inc. (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019-2022 FUV, 2020-2022 Roadster, Deliverator and 2021 Rapid Responder hybrid electric vehicles. The high voltage (HV) control board cover may prevent the high voltage connector from latching properly to the plug.
Consequence: An improperly latched harness connector can detach, and result in a sudden loss of power steering and drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Arcimoto will replace the HV control board cover, free of charge. Owner notification letter were mailed September 14, 2022. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.
Defect: Arcimoto, Inc. (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2019-2022 FUV, 2021-2022 Rapid Responder, 2020-2022 Deliverator, and Roadster motorcycles. When the battery is at freezing temperatures, the vehicle control unit may inadvertently disable vehicle charging from a power outlet.
Consequence: A disabled charging system may result in the driver unknowingly operating the vehicle in an uncharged state, resulting in a stall and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: An Arcimoto service technician will update the firmware, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 3, 2022. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.
Defect: Arcimoto Inc (Arcimoto) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Deliverator, 2019-2022 FUV, 2021-2022 Rapid Responder, and 2020-2022 Roadster motorcycles. The brake pressure switch may corrode after exposure to salt and chemicals found in de-icers, causing the brake lights to illuminate constantly.
Consequence: Brake lights that remain illuminated can cause confusion to other drivers and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to contact Arcimoto to schedule a service appointment to have the brake pressure switch inspected and dielectric grease added to the connection to prevent the brake lights from remaining on. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 27, 2022. Owners may contact Arcimoto customer service at 1-541-683-6293.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
