Defect: Aluminum Trailer Company (ATC) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Bumper Pull seven or eight foot wide Toy Hauler trailers manufactured October 1, 2015, to October 31, 2016. The fuel tank may have been attached to the sub frame without rivnuts, and as a result, the mounting bolts may loosen and the fuel tank may detach.
Consequence: If the fuel tank becomes loose and detaches from the vehicle, a fuel leak may result, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: ATC will notify owners and dealers will replace the mounting bolts, free of charge. The recall began on January 13, 2017. Owners may contact ATC customer service at 1-574-773-2440. ATC's number for this recall is ARVFTANK.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
