Consequence: An awning that drops or extends beyond normal operation can increase the risk of injury. (excerpt)

Defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2022 Coachmen Apex travel trailers. The tail lights may have been incorrectly wired to an "ON/OFF" switch, which can cause the brake or tail lights to not illuminate when the switch is in the "off" position.
Consequence: Brake or tail lights that fail to illuminate can reduce visibility to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will rewire the tail lights, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 9, 2022. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-358-0401. Forest River's number for this recall is 220-1535.
