Complaints
One complaint can name several systems, so shares can add to more than 100 percent.
Model-generated complaint tags: This model year has not been tagged.
Defect: Doubletree RV (Doubletree) is recalling certain model year 2006-2013 Select Suite, Tradition, Mobile Suite, and Elite Suite recreational trailers manufactured January 1, 2006, to April 25, 2013 and equipped with Fastec-brand door locks. It may be possible to remove the key from the lock in a way that potentially jams the deadbolt.
Consequence: If the deadbolt jams, the interior side of the door lock may also jam. A person inside the travel trailer at the time will then be locked in and be unable to exit the vehicle without using the emergency exit, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Doubletree will notify owners, and dealers will replace the cylinders, free of charge. The recall began December 29, 2014. Owners may contact Fastec directly at www.fastecindustrial.com or by calling toll free 1-800-837-2505, or Doubletree customer service at 1-260-562-1075.
Defect: DRV IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006-2010 ELITE, MOBILE SUITE, AND SELECT SUITE RECREATIONAL VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES HAVE THE INCORRECT FEDERAL ID TAG, GROSS VEHICLE WEIGHT RATING (GVWR) INFORMATION LABELS WHICH FAILS TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF PART 567, "CERTIFICATION."
Consequence: FAILURE TO FOLLOW PROPER VEHICLE LOADING SPECIFICATIONS BECAUSE OF A MISPRINTED LABEL COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: OWNERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH NEW FEDERAL ID TAG INFORMATION LABEL AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 18, 2011. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DRV AT 1-574-457-6472.
Date: 2008-01-28. Systems: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC.
Defect: ON CERTAIN FIFTH WHEEL TRAVEL TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH A DISC BRAKE SYSTEM PRODUCED BY ACTIVE TECHNOLOGY. ACTIBRAKE ACTUATORS INSTALLED ON THESE VEHICLES, OVER TIME, MAY OVERHEAT, DAMAGING THE BRAKING SYSTEM.
Consequence: THIS COULD CREATE A FIRE OR LOSS OF BRAKING POWER INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DOUBLETREE IS WORKING WITH ACTIVE TECHNOLOGY TO REPAIR THESE VEHICLES (PLEASE SEE 08E007). THE RECALL BEGAN ON FEBRUARY 3, 2008. OWNERS MAY CONTACT DOUBLETREE AT 1-260-562-1075.
Do not drive: No. Park outside: No.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
