Defect: Ferrari is recalling certain 2021-2023 Ferrari SF90 Coupe and 2022 SF90 Spider hybrid electric vehicles. When a child seat is installed on the passenger seat (size M), the deployment of the air bag may impact the child seat. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Consequence: Air bag impact with a child seat can increase the risk of injury to the occupant.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to use child seats in the vehicle until it is repaired. Dealers will replace the size M passenger seat with a size XL passenger seat, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 21, 2023. The manufacturer's number for this recall is RC 84.
Do not drive: No. Park outside: No.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
