Defect: Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2027 Genesis G80 vehicles. The ignition coil ground bolt may be loose, resulting in an engine misfire or stall while driving.
Consequence: An misfire or loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will tighten the ignition coil ground bolt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 18, 2026. Owners may contact Genesis customer service at 844-340-9741. Hyundai's number for this recall is 034G. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov July 31, 2026.
