Defect: Timberland Inc. DBA Glacier (Glacier) is recalling certain model year 2016 Glacier 17 RV Explorer recreational trailers, models A612, A614 and A165, manufactured February 1, 2016, to November 1, 2016. In the affected vehicles, the drop axle pivot pin retainer bolt may be too short for the locking nut to fully engage.
Consequence: If the bolt separates from the lock nut, the wheel assembly may detach from the chassis, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Glacier will notify owners, and representatives of the Ickler Company, the chassis manufacturer, will travel to the dealer's or customer's location to fix the issue, free of charge. The recall began on January 26, 2017. Owners may contact Glacier customer service at 1-218-454-1078 or the Ickler Company at 1-320-251-8282.
Do not drive: No. Park outside: No.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
