Defect: HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Type-6 Wildland trucks manufactured January 2, 2015, to December 1, 2016. The Certification label on the affected vehicles may incorrectly list the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) as 15,876 kilograms instead of the correct GVWR of 8,845 kg. (The Gross Vehicle Weight Rating of 19,500 lbs is listed correctly on the label.) As such, the (excerpt)
Consequence: If there is an incorrect weight rating on the label, the operator may overload the vehicle, possibly resulting in a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash. (excerpt)
