Defect: Jumping Jack, Inc. (Jumping Jack) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 utility trailers, in sizes Standard 6'x8' and Mid 6'x12', manufactured August 15, 2014, to August 31, 2015. The torsion arm of the axle assembly was made too small for its housing, and as a result, the torsion arm, spindle, and tire and wheel assemblies may detach from the trailer.
Consequence: A separation of the torsion arm can result in a reduction in vehicle stability, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Jumping Jack will notify owners and provide a free replacement torsion axle. Owners can either preform the repair themselves or, if needed, Jumping Jack will assist owners to find a repair shop. Repairs will be made free of charge. The recall began on October 17, 2016. Owners may contact Jumping Jack customer service at 1-801-520-5310.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
