Defect: FORD IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2013 LINCOLN MKT VEHICLES WITH A TOWN CAR PACKAGE MANUFACTURED FROM MARCH 6, 2012, THROUGH APRIL 3, 2012, WHICH ARE AVAILABLE ONLY TO BODY BUILDERS FOR UPFITTING AS HEARSE OR LIVERY/LIMOUSINE VEHICLES. THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN TRANSPORTED WITH REAR BRAKE ROTOR BOLTS THAT ARE NOT FULLY SEATED ALLOWING THE HEAD TO PROTRUDE ABOVE THE WHEEL MOUNTING SURFACE.
Consequence: THE RAISED BOLT HEAD COULD LEAD TO TORQUE LOSS IN THE WHEEL JOINT, POTENTIALLY LEADING TO WHEEL SEPARATION, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: ALL THE AFFECTED VEHICLES HAVE BEEN QUARANTINED AT THE COACH BUILDERA S FACILITIES AND WILL BE REPAIRED BEFORE DELIVERY TO OWNERS. NOTICES WERE MAILED TO THE COACH BUILDERS ON MAY 24, 2012. FOR MORE INFORMATION, OWNERS MAY CONTACT THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP CENTER AT 1-866-436-7332.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
This record lists no complaint under this name, and zero is not confirmed in this data build; the notes below give the reason.
NHTSA lists complaints for this model year under related names: MKT (70). They are counted on those records, not here. Zero is not confirmed for this name.
