Defect: ON CERTAIN CONCRETE MIXERS EQUIPPED WITH HENDRICKSON BRIDGE AXLES, CRACKS HAVE BEEN FOUND IN THE AXLE SEAT AND KINGPIN HUB PORTIONS.
Consequence: IF THE CRACKS SHOULD PROPAGATE WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN ROAD USE, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT DEBRIS FROM THE AXLE OR ADJACENT VEHICLES PARTS COULD BE DEPOSITED IN THE ROADWAY, INCREASING THE RISK OF DAMAGE TO A FOLLOWING VEHICLE OR A CRASH.
Remedy: OSHKOSH IS WORKING WITH HENDRICKSON TO REPLACE THE BRIDGE AXLES ON THESE VEHICLES (PLEASE SEE 07E040). THE RECALL BEGAN ON JULY 2, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT HENDRICKSON AT 1-800-660-2843.

McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing identified an issue with over-torqued bolts on the lower ladder platform. The bolts used to secure the lower ladders to the lower ladder platform were over-torqued causing the bolts to fail. New hardware needs to be installed in placed of the over-torqued bolts.
