Consequence: THIS COULD CAUSE THE CART TO TIP OVER SIDEWAYS, WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CRASH.
Remedy: QUALITY STREET CARTS WILL SEND OUT 2" X 3/4" STEEL SPACES THAT MUST BE WELDED IN PLACE ABOVE THE SLIPPER SPRING FLAT IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE GAP BETWEEN THE TOP OF THE TIRES AND THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CART. THE RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING JULY 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT QUALITY STREET CARTS AT 1-866-364-2278.

ON JULY 21, 2004 QUALITY CARTS FILED A DEFECT NOTICE (04V-361) THAT DESCRIBES A NOTIFICATION AND REPAIR PROGRAM THAT ADDRESSES THE AFFECTED VEHICLES.SEE CLOSING REPORT FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS.
