Defect: Rosenbauer America (Rosenbauer) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Avenger, 2019-2024 Commander, and Warrior fire trucks equipped with an Innovative Controls instrument panel. A software error may cause the odometer to freeze and not display accurate mileage.
Consequence: An inaccurate odometer reading can unintentionally delay critical safety-related maintenance, potentially impairing the safe operation of the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the instrument panel, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 10, 2025. Owners may contact Rosenbauer customer service at 1-651-462-1000.

In the event of a short circuit or wiring failure, the firmware may fail to shut off the output pin, resulting in overloaded electrical circuits.
Consequence: Overloaded electrical circuits can overheat, increasing the risk of fire.
Remedy: Dealers will update the firmware, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 22, 2024. Owners may contact Rosenbauer America customer service at 1-651-462-1000.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
