Defect: ShowHauler Trucks, Inc. (ShowHauler) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Garagecoaches manufactured September 25, 2014, to July 7, 2015. The affected vehicles are equipped with Thieman Tailgates-brand TVL 12/16 series lift gates supported with roller chains that may fail.
Consequence: Failure of either the street or curb side roller chain would result in that side of the platform falling immediately to the ground without notice, causing an uneven surface and increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: ShowHauler will notify owners, and Thieman dealers will replace the lift gate chains, free of charge. The recall began on October 20, 2016. Owners may contact Thieman customer service at 1-800-524-5210 extension 104 or ShowHauler customer service at 1-574-825-6764. ShowHauler's number for this recall is 16E076.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
