Defect: Forest River, Inc. (Forest River) is recalling certain 2018 Glaval Bus Concorde II and Starcraft Bus XLT transit buses. The gear shift cable clip may not be properly seated, allowing the transmission to be in a different gear than indicated by the gear shift lever position.
Consequence: If the gear shift cable clip becomes unseated or dislodged, the gear shift lever position may indicate that the transmission is in 'Park' when it may be in a different gear. Additionally, despite selecting 'Park', if the parking brake is not applied before the vehicle is exited, the vehicle may roll. Either scenario increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Forest River has notified owners, and Ford dealers will inspect the shift cable locking clip and properly seat it, if necessary, free of charge. The recall began June 4, 2018. Owners may contact Glaval customer service at 1-800-445-2825, Starcraft customer service at 1-800-348-7440, or Ford customer service at 1-866-906-9811. Forest River's number for this recall is 3505-0713.

Internal electrical heating within the fuel heater may create sufficient heat inside the fuel heater to cause plastic in the fuel heater to melt and potentially catch fire. It may also cause an engine stall. A fire, if undetect
Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
