Defect: Storyteller Overland, LLC (Storyteller) is recalling certain 2024-2026 GXV Hilt vehicles. The secondary alternator pulley may fail, resulting in a loss of power brakes and power steering.
Consequence: An unexpected loss of power brakes increases the distance required to stop. A loss of power steering increases the amount of effort needed to control the vehicle. Both situations may increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Storyteller will replace the secondary alternator, free of charge. Interim owner letters were mailed August 13, 2026. A second letter will be mailed when the free remedy is available. Owners may contact Storyteller customer service at 1-888-999-7442.
Defect: Storyteller Overland, LLC (Storyteller) is recalling certain 2024-2026 GXV Hilt recreational vehicles. The entry door position switch may not make adequate contact to read that the door is closed, which allows the steps to deploy unexpectedly.
Consequence: Steps extending while in transit increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will install a ground signal to the door switch circuit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 29, 2026. Owners may contact Storyteller customer service at 1-888-999-7442.
Defect: Storyteller Overland, LLC (Storyteller) is recalling certain 2024-2026 GXV Hilt recreational vehicles. The auxiliary power system wires may have been improperly. The wires may be damaged by contact with the intake manifold.
Consequence: Damaged wire may overheat and short, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect, replace, and secure the wires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 8, 2025. Owners may contact Storyteller customer service at 1-888-999-7442.
