Defect: Transportation Collaborative, Inc. (TCI) is recalling certain model year 2012-2015 Trans Tech Bus Student Safety Transporter school buses manufactured December 1, 2012, to April 23, 2015. The affected vehicles were built to accommodate 35 children or 23 adults. However, when the bus is loaded to this capacity, the load may exceed the rated capacity of the rear axle and tires.
Consequence: If the vehicle is loaded to the listed capacity, the rear axle or tires may fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: TCI will notify owners, and dealers will remove two seats, and install a corrected capacity label, free of charge. The recall began on July 1, 2015. Owners may contact TCI customer service at 1-845-988-0419.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
