Defect: Wabash National Corporation (Wabash) is recalling certain 2019-2023 Transcraft Platform and 2024-2027 Wabash Platform trailers. The conspicuity tape may not have been installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence: Missing conspicuity tape can reduce the visibility of the trailer to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Wabash will provide the conspicuity tape, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed July 17, 2026. Owners may contact Wabash customer service at 1-765-771-5404.
Defect: Transcraft Corporation (Transcraft) is recalling certain 2016-2021 Platform trailers equipped with certain fork lift kits and adjustable wheel stops. The adjustable wheel stops may detach.
Consequence: If the wheel stop detaches while the trailer is parked and in use, there is an increased risk of crash or injury.
Remedy: Transcraft notified owners and provided repair instructions to inspect and repair the wheel stop assemblies, free of charge. The recall began November 13, 2020. Owners may contact Transcraft customer service at 1-877-489-9020. Transcraft's number for this recall is B20016.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
