Defect: Shyft Group (Shyft) is recalling certain 2015-2025 Utilimaster Truck Body vehicles. The signal converter may fail, which can cause the brake lights and turn signals to become inoperative.
Consequence: Inoperative turn signals and brake lights can fail to alert other road users to the driver's intentions to turn or stop, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Shyft will inspect and repair the signal converter connecters as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 7, 2025. Owners may contact Shyft customer service at 1-800-237-7806. Shyft's number for this recall is 25-16.
Defect: Spartan Motors, Inc. (Spartan) is recalling certain 2020-2021 FLT Utilimaster Truck Body vehicles. The license plate lamp may be installed in the incorrect position and at an incorrect angle, causing the plate to not be properly illuminated.
