Date: 2005-12-13. Systems: SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC.

Defect: ON CERTAIN TRAILERS EQUIPPED WITH WEBB WHEEL PLATINUM SERIES BRAKE DRUMS, THE BRAKE DRUMS COULD CRACK ON THE BRAKING SURFACE.

Consequence: THIS COULD RESULT IN REDUCTION OR COMPLETE LOSS OF BRAKING WHICH COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE CRASH.

Remedy: WEBB WHEEL WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE BRAKE DRUMS FREE OF CHARGE. OWNERS MAY CONTACT WEBB WHEEL AT 1-800-633-3256 OR WABASH AT 765-771-5563.

As communicated previously, an issue discovered in DiagnosticLink version 8.14SP1 was fixed with the release of 8.14SP3 on August26. The issue related to incorrect parameter data being sent to the server for some Chassis ECUs.
