Defect: Wartech Engineering, LLC (Wartech) is recalling certain 2022-2025 SpecialContainer trailers. The incorrect threaded piping fitting may have been installed between the anti-lock braking system (ABS) module and the air tank. The fitting may leak air, decreasing the pneumatic brake pressure.
Consequence: An air leak can cause the unintentional activation of the brakes. Reduced brake pressure can increase the distance required to stop. Either scenario increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Owners are advised not to tow their trailer until the repairs are completed. Wartech will replace the fitting, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 13, 2025. Owners may contact Wartech's customer service at 1-734-429-2002.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
