Defect: YAMAHA IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2009-2011 VMX17 (V-MAX) MOTORCYCLES, INCLUDING THE YB, YCB, ZR, ZCR AG AND ACG VARIANTS, MANUFACTURED FROM SEPTEMBER 2008 THROUGH APRIL 2011. ON AFFECTED MOTORCYCLES, HIGH OIL PRESSURE CAN BUILD UP INSIDE THE OIL PUMP CAUSING IT TO MALFUNCTION. OIL MIGHT THEN STOP PUMPING THROUGH THE ENGINE RESULTING IN SEVERE ENGINE DAMAGE THAT CAN CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STAL (excerpt)
