Recalls

1 recalls.

17V667000

Date: 2017-10-20. Systems: EQUIPMENT.

Defect: Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2018 Crossroads Cruiser and 2017-2018 Crossroads Sunset, Volante, and Zinger recreational vehicles, equipped with Flame King cook tops designed for outdoor use. The cook tops have a corrugated fiber board that can burn due to a breeze or an inverted flame. (excerpt)

Consequence: If the flame of the cook top becomes inverted or is redirected due to a breeze, the corrugated fiber board may burn, increasing the risk of a fire. (excerpt)

Remedy: Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the corrugated fiber board protector and burner for damage. If no damage exists, the fiber board regulator will be replaced. If damage is found on the fiber board, the cook top will be replaced, free of charge. The recall began on November 13, 2017. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-855-226-7496. Keystone's number for this (excerpt)

Do not drive: No. Park outside: No.

Notes on this record

  • Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
  • System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
  • Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
  • A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
  • This record lists no complaint under this name, and zero is not confirmed in this data build; the notes below give the reason.
  • NHTSA lists complaints for this model year under related names: SUNSET TRAIL (1). They are counted on those records, not here. Zero is not confirmed for this name.
