Defect: NAVISTAR IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2007, 2009, AND 2011 IC CESB SCHOOL BUSES EQUIPPED WITH BRAUN CENTURY-2 AND VISTA-2 WHEELCHAIR LIFTS. OVER TIME, AND WITH FREQUENT USE, THE ROLL STOP LATCHES ON THE OUTER BARRIER MAY BECOME BENT OR MISALIGNED.
Consequence: A WHEELCHAIR OCCUPANT MAY DEFEAT OR RIDE OVER THE INSUFFICIENTLY LATCHED ROLL STOP. IF THIS OCCURS WHEN THE LIFT PLATFORM IS IN AN ELEVATED POSITION, THE WHEELCHAIRA S OCCUPANT COULD FALL AND SUSTAIN INJURY.
Remedy: NAVISTAR HAS REPORTED THAT ALL THE AFFECTED BUSES HAVE BEEN REPAIRED BY AUTHORIZED BRAUN DEALERS. THEREFORE, AN OWNER NOTIFICATION NOTICE IS NOT NECESSARY FOR THIS CAMPAIGN. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NAVISTAR AT 1-260-461-1890.

Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
