As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence: Incorrectly adjusted headlights can reduce the visibility of oncoming traffic, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will update the software to deactivate the headlight functions for Tourist Mode and the Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), free of charge. In temperatures below 41A?F, the rearview camera may not display due to a software error in the infotainment system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
Consequence: A rearview camera that does not display an image reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.
