Defect: Lamborghini (Automobili Lamborghini) is recalling certain 2015-2024 Huracan vehicles. The headlights may be incorrectly adjusted. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence: Incorrectly adjusted headlights can reduce the visibility of oncoming traffic, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will update the software to deactivate the headlight functions for Tourist Mode and the Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS), free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 6, 2024. Owners may contact Lamborghini customer service at 1-866-681-6276. Lamborghini's number for this recall is L62X-R.01.24.

Defect: Lamborghini (Automobili Lamborghini) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Huracan EVO and 2022 Huracan STO vehicles. The gearbox may have an insufficient amount of transmission oil, which can lead to clutch slippage, and in certain driving situations, a transmission oil leak.

Consequence: Clutch slippage can cause a loss of drive power and increase the risk of a crash. A transmission oil leak in the presence of hot exhaust components can increase the risk of fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and correct the transmission oil level, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 20, 2022. Owners may contact Automobili Lamborghini customer service 1-866-681-6276. Automobili Lamborghini's number for this recall is L62X-R.02.22.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence: Improperly adjusted headlights can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Defect: Lamborghini (Automobili Lamborghini) is recalling certain 2018-2021 Huracan vehicles. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence: A rearview camera that does not display an image reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.

Notes on this record

  • Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
  • System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
  • Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
  • A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
