Defect: ON CERTAIN MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH FRONT INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION, TWO SPINDLE SHAFTS WERE IMPROPERLY PROCESSED DURING MANUFACTURING WHICH WEAKENED THE SHAFTS.
Consequence: THE SHAFTS CAN BREAK CAUSING A LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE TWO SPINDLE SHAFTS AND SURROUNDING PARTS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 12, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT PREVOST AT 418-831-5432.

Defect: ON CERTAIN NEW "FACE-LIFT" MOTOR COACHES AND MOTOR HOMES EQUIPPED WITH INDEPENDENT FRONT SUSPENSION, A MODIFICATION WAS MADE TO THE STEERING GEARBOX MOUNTING SUPPORT. THE SUPPORT MAY DEVELOP STRESS CRACKS UNDER HEAVY LOAD CONDITIONS.
Consequence: THE STEERING GEARBOX MAY BECOME LOOSE AFFECTING STEERING CONTROL, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL WELD THREE (3) REINFORCEMENT BRACKETS TO THE GEAR BOX SUPPORT. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MAY 2, 2003. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT PREVOST AT 1-418-831-5432.
