4 recalls.

25V475000

Date: 2025-07-21. Systems: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.

Defect: Rosenbauer America (Rosenbauer) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Avenger, 2019-2024 Commander, and Warrior fire trucks equipped with an Innovative Controls instrument panel. A software error may cause the odometer to freeze and not display accurate mileage.

Consequence: An inaccurate odometer reading can unintentionally delay critical safety-related maintenance, potentially impairing the safe operation of the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the instrument panel, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 10, 2025. Owners may contact Rosenbauer customer service at 1-651-462-1000.

Do not drive: No. Park outside: No.

23V894000

Date: 2023-12-22. Systems: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.

Defect: Rosenbauer America is recalling certain 2020-2022 Avenger, 2017-2024 Commander, 2020-2024 Warrior, 2023 Commercial F-350, F-550, 108SD, and 2024 Commercial 114SD vehicles. In the event of a short circuit or wiring failure, the firmware may fail to shut off the output pin, resulting in overloaded electrical circuits.

Consequence: Overloaded electrical circuits can overheat, increasing the risk of fire.

Remedy: Dealers will update the firmware, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 22, 2024. Owners may contact Rosenbauer America customer service at 1-651-462-1000.

Do not drive: No. Park outside: No.

23V536000

Date: 2023-07-31. Systems: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EQUIPMENT.

Defect: Rosenbauer America (Rosenbauer) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Commercial F-550, 2022 Commercial M2-106, M2-112, Commercial 567, 2021 Commander, and Avenger vehicles equipped with certain Warn Industries VR EVO winches with a wireless handheld remote. Water may enter the handheld remote control for the winch and cause circuit board corrosion, which can allow the winch to operate unintentionally.

Consequence: A winch that operates unintentionally increases the risk of injury.

Remedy: Rosenbauer will notify owners and provide instructions for inspecting the remote for corrosion, disabling the wireless function, and ordering a new wired remote if necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2023. Owners may contact Rosenbauer customer service at 1-651-462-1000.

Do not drive: No. Park outside: No.

21V334000

Date: 2021-05-11. Systems: FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL.

Defect: Rosenbauer America (Rosenbauer) is recalling certain 2016-2021 Commander, Warrior, Avenger, and 2019 Commercial M2 106 vehicles. The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the rail as necessary, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed on July 9, 2021. Owners may contact Rosenbauer customer service at 1-651-462-1000.

Do not drive: No. Park outside: No.

Notes on this record

  • Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
  • System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
  • Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
  • A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
  • NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
