Altec has learned that certain AC40 cranes built from January 2014 to September 2023 could have wear pads at the base of the boom that could fail prematurely.

Altec has learned that the main control valve harness connectors can become brittle on the affected units. This can result in the harnesses cracking or breaking, allowing water into the harness and causing loss of function.
