Defect: Altec Industries (Altec) is recalling certain model year 2010-2015 AH75, AH85, and AH100 Aerial Devices manufactured January 10, 2008, to December 31, 2015. The affected units have a hydraulic pressure control valve that may allow the aerial device to move even when not told to do so.
Consequence: An aerial device that moves unexpectedly increases the risk of injury to the operator.
Remedy: Altec will notify owners, and dealers will replace the hydraulic pressure control valves, free of charge. The recall began on March 15, 2016. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-205-991-7733.

Altec has learned that on AH75/85/100, AH75A/85A/100A, and HL125 aerial devices built from November 2003 to January 2021, there is potential for the jib rotational positioning pin to disengage when the platform is tilted down 90 degrees or more from the level working position. Notes on this record
Complaints from the API and bulk file are merged and deduplicated by ODI number; the API alone misses records.
System and subsystem counts are numbers of distinct complaints, recalls or communications that name them. One record can name several systems, so shares across systems can add to more than 100 percent; a single share never exceeds 100 percent.
Recalls are counted once per campaign, investigations once per action and manufacturer communications once per NHTSA id, even when NHTSA lists several model names for the same record.
A sales denominator is a calendar-year proxy, not the population of vehicles still in use. Rates are copied from verified pipeline output.
NHTSA's complaints API and bulk file list no complaint for this make, model and model year in this data build.
