Defect: Altec Industries Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2011-2025 Aerial Device, Digger Derrick, and 2022-2025 Service Body vehicles. The cable step wire rope assembly may be improperly secured, which can allow the cable entry step to detach from the vehicle.
Consequence: A cable step that fails during use increases the risk of injury.
Remedy: Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the cable crimps. If the cables are improperly crimped, Altec will provide instructions and a kit to replace the wire rope assemblies. Repairs will be performed free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 24, 2025. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Consequence: Unintended movement of the lower and upper booms increases the risk of injury.
Remedy: Altec will install a jumper hose and check valve into the boomtip tank lines and replace the overcenter blocking cartridge with an internally referenced drain path, free of charge. Defect: Altec Industries Inc. is recalling certain 2015-2018 LR7, ALB, AC18, AC23, and AC38 vehicles built on an International N9/N10 chassis. During an HC Desorb cycle, the vehicle's idle will rapidly rise causing an increase in pump flow. The increased pump flow can result in the moving speed of the boom changing.
Consequence: The change in boom speed can result in unintended positioning of the boom, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Altec will notify owners, and dealers install an update that will reprogram the low idle preset to 850 RPM, free of charge. The recall began October 16, 2020. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN 774.

Consequence: If the tow hitch is overloaded, the hitch may fail, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Altec will notify owners and provide instructions for inspecting the bumper and receiver tube for damage and repairing as necessary and installing the proper hitch load rating placards on the unit.
