(Prevost) is recalling certain 2005-2024 X3-45, 2017-2019 and 2021-2023 X3-45 Commuter, 2006-2007, 2014, and 2018 H3-41, 2005-2020 and 2022-2024 H3-45, and 2019 H3-45 VIP buses equipped with a wheelchair lift. The wheelchair platform bridging device may be too steep, which can cause the wheelchair to become unstable. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requireme (excerpt)

Defect: Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2014 and 2018 H3-41, 2013-2024 H3-45, 2012-2024 X3-45, and 2017-2023 X3-45 Commuter vehicles. The red beacon lighting on the Threshold Warning System (TWS) may not be bright enough. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 403, "Platform Lift Systems."
Consequence: Beacons that do not provide proper illumination may be less visible to wheelchair lift users, increasing the risk of injury.

Defect: Prevost Car (US) Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2010-2023 H3-45, H3-45 VIP, X3-45, X3-45 Com, and X3-45 VIP vehicles. In the event of the alternator front bearing seizing, the alternator belt may continue to operate, causing the bearing to overheat.
Consequence: An overheated alternator bearing can increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy: Prevost will replace the alternator belt, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 30, 2022. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046.

Consequence: A complete loss of steering would increase the risk of a crash.

Defect: Prevost Cars, Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain 2008-2018 H3-41, H3-45, H3-45 VIP, X3-45, X3-45 VIP, X3-45 VIP Entertainer, and XL2 motor coaches. The fuel tank cradle supports may have gaps at the points where the cradle connects to the coach frame, which can allow the attachment bolts to loosen and fail causing the fuel tank to fall from the vehicle.
Consequence: If the fuel tank separates from the vehicle, it could be a road hazard and the vehicle would stall. Either scenario increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Prevost will notify owners, and dealers will correct the fuel tank cradle mounting, free of charge. The recall began on December 4, 2017. Owners may contact Prevost customer service at 1-866-870-2046. Prevost's number for this recall is SR17-28.

Defect: Prevost Cars, Inc. (Prevost) is recalling certain model year 2010-2014 X3-45, XLII-45, H3-41, and H3-45 coaches manufactured November 30, 2009, to August 12, 2014. In the affected vehicles, the wires for the Automatic Fire Suppression System (AFSS) Linear Thermal Detector (LTD) may be damaged by temperatures in the engine compartment.
Consequence: The damaged wires may activate the AFSS and shutdown the engine, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

(Prevost) is recalling certain model year 2014 X3-45 commuter coaches manufactured October 1, 2014, to January 29, 2015, and equipped with Recaro-brand driver seats with a two-point seat belt and inward-facing retractor configuration. These seats have a seat belt retractor that may not lock as intended when the occupant has the seat in the full back position.
Consequence: If the seat belt retractor does not lock, the seat occupant may not be properly restrained during a vehicle crash, increasing their risk of personal injury.
