Defect: Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Ram 1500 Promaster, Ram 2500 Promaster, Ram 3500 Promaster, and 2024-2026 Ram 3500 Electric (EV) vehicles. Water may enter the electric power steering wiring harness, which can disable power steering assist.
Consequence: A loss of power steering assist can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the wiring harness and electronic power steering gear, as necessary, free of charge. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed November 17, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Defect: Braun Corporation (Braun) is recalling certain 2026 Ram ProMaster vehicles equipped with Q'Straint's One-Combo Belt, with part number TX11258-BA. The wheelchair seat belts may have incompatible connectors and fail to properly restrain occupants.
Consequence: Improperly restrained occupants have an increased risk of injury during a crash.
