Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2020-2026 AA Series Aerial Device, 2021-2026 AN Series Aerial Device, 2023-2026 AM Series Aerial Device, and 2024-2026 Digger Derrick, and 2024-2025 A-Class vehicles. The turntable mounted platform access step may have been improperly welded between the step tube and mounting plate, and allow the step to separate from the vehicle.

Consequence: A step that separates or becomes unstable while in use, increases the risk of a fall or injury.

Remedy: Altec will replace the steps, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 27, 2026. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3374.

Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2021-2026 Altec Digger Derrick, and 2023-2025 Altec TA Series Aerial Device vehicles. Improper wiring may prevent the boom stow auto-neutral feature from engaging, which can allow the truck to be driven while the boom is still elevated.

Consequence: When the vehicle is moved or driven with the boom out of stow, the vehicle could exceed the recorded travel height, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Altec will correct the wiring in the power distribution module to enable the boom stow auto-neutral functionality, free of charge. Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2019-2026 AN Series, 2023 AA Series, 2022-2026 Digger Derrick, and 2025 AM Series vehicles. The Bendix automatic braking system was not recalibrated after relocating the front radar box.

Consequence: An improperly calibrated system may have a delayed braking response, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Altec will update the collision mitigation system with the revised the parameters, recalibrate, and test the system, free of charge. Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Digger Derrick vehicles. The vertical center of gravity with poles in the pole rack was not calculated properly, resulting in an incorrect pole rack capacity rating.

Consequence: While using the pole rack at full capacity, an incorrect high vertical center of gravity during braking and cornering may lead to a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Consequence: An incorrect pressure rating may lead to underinflated tires, increasing the risk of a tire blowout or a crash.

Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Digger Derrick and 2021-2025 AM Series Aerial Device vehicles. The chassis engine may start unintentionally due to a missing diode in the Altec power distribution module.

Consequence: An engine that starts unexpectedly increases the risk of injury to anyone near the engine compartment during maintenance operations.

Remedy: Altec will provide instructions to inspect the power distribution module for a diode, and provide a repair kit as necessary, free of charge. Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Aerial Device and Digger Derrick vehicles. The electronic taillight module harness may have inadequate circuit protection.

Consequence: Wiring without adequate protection may short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire.

Consequence: An engine shutdown increases the risk of a crash.

Consequence: A cable step that fails during use increases the risk of injury.

Remedy: Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the cable crimps. If the cables are improperly crimped, Altec will provide instructions and a kit to replace the wire rope assemblies. Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Aerial Device, and Digger Derrick vehicles. The front winch bumper may be secured with incorrect bolts, which can cause the bumper to detach from the vehicle.

Consequence: A front bumper that detaches can become a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash. In addition, the bolts can fail suddenly during winch operation, increasing the risk of injury.
