Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2020-2026 AA Series Aerial Device, 2021-2026 AN Series Aerial Device, 2023-2026 AM Series Aerial Device, and 2024-2026 Digger Derrick, and 2024-2025 A-Class vehicles. The turntable mounted platform access step may have been improperly welded between the step tube and mounting plate, and allow the step to separate from the vehicle.
Consequence: A step that separates or becomes unstable while in use, increases the risk of a fall or injury.
Remedy: Altec will replace the steps, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 27, 2026. Owners may contact Altec's customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3374.

Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2021-2026 Altec Digger Derrick, and 2023-2025 Altec TA Series Aerial Device vehicles. Improper wiring may prevent the boom stow auto-neutral feature from engaging, which can allow the truck to be driven while the boom is still elevated.
Consequence: When the vehicle is moved or driven with the boom out of stow, the vehicle could exceed the recorded travel height, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Altec will correct the wiring in the power distribution module to enable the boom stow auto-neutral functionality, free of charge. Consequence: An improperly calibrated system may have a delayed braking response, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Altec will update the collision mitigation system with the revised the parameters, recalibrate, and test the system, free of charge. Defect: Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2025-2026 Digger Derrick and 2025-2026 Aerial Device vehicles. The front end radar was improperly installed, which may result in improper operation of the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Active Brake Assist (ABA).
Consequence: While driving, the brakes may activate unexpectedly without the driver's input, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Altec will inform the owners to inspect the front end radar installation and if installed incorrectly, instruct owners to take the vehicle to an OEM Chassis dealer to have the radar remounted and calibrated, free of charge.
